The mount has been water gilded in white gold.  Artist Carol Leskanic, a true Master of her trade, applies this ancient technique to many unexpected objects.  She then treats the gilded surfaces with a patina for a rich, deep and consummately modern esthetic. Her process is traditional, but the results are ethereal.  We have several of her unique pieces throughout the gallery.

As soon as this set came out of the stockroom I fell in love!  Each piece is hand blown giving a unique and individual nature to each piece.  The irregular edges and varied sizes of the glasses evoke a real sense of craftsmanship and not your run of the mill cookie cutter pressed glass vessel.  With all of that said what really sold me on these pieces is the pattern, a slight "feathered" ribbing that give a delicate quality to each piece.  Yet substantial enough for a gentleman guest.  Each piece is signed and is a must have in your collection!

This unique piece was wheel thrown out of a high fire porcelain, low fired and then hand painted with expert care.  The pelican is exquisitely executed, the attention to detail is expressed in each brushstroke.  I love the entire of animals including bears, penguins and squirrels.  I had the pleasure of meeting the artist as she is based in Brooklyn and it was clear her passion for the art she creates.

Designed in Argentina, these rugs are produced from selected hides that are carefully categorized according to color and thickness, then shaved to the exact same length. None of the hair is dyed or removed, and the hides are tanned with environmentally-friendly products. This careful design creates a final product with a funky, modern look in terms of shape and pattern, but the materials are about as natural as you can get. For ease of care, the rugs simply require an occasional vacuum and are stain resistant—simple soap and water will take care of any spills.  I see this an individual rug in your space or a handful of them layered to create a well traveled look.

I am huge fan of vintage textiles so when this gem came into AERO I immediately knew I had to share it with all of you!  A 19th century chain-stitched suzani from Uzbekistan on dark, almost black velvet ground, with assorted silk-embroidered stylized desert flora with palmettes and roundels, embroidered over five panels.  This would make the perfect finishing touch to a bed or better yet hung on the wall as art.
